Authentication details

To access the Hello Michelin API, users have three authentication options: Keyless access, API Key, and OAuth authentication.

  • Keyless Access: This method allows users to make API calls without any authentication requirements, providing a straightforward entry point for testing or non-sensitive use cases.
  • API Key Access: Users can register for an API Key through a specific registration plan available on our Developer Portal. Upon successful registration, you will receive your API Key, which you must include in the header of your API requests to gain access.
  • OAuth Authentication: For more secure interactions, users can complete a simple OAuth authentication process. First, register for a free and auto-approved subscription via our Developer Portal. Upon registration, you will receive your OAuth credentials, including a client ID and client secret.

Using these credentials, you can request an access token from our authentication endpoint. Follow the detailed steps outlined in our Knowledge Base articles to effectively retrieve your OAuth token. Once you have the token, simply include it in the Authorization header of your API requests to make authorized calls to the Hello Michelin API.

This multi-faceted approach ensures flexible access to the API, catering to various user needs while maintaining secure interactions.
