We enable Michelin services over APIs
Our mission is to help developers build innovative solutions by enabling API integration with Michelin.
Welcome to Michelin’s Developer Portal, your entry point to discover, consume, and publish APIs that power innovative digital services. Our portal serves a diverse audience—business stakeholders, API consumers, and publishers—by providing secure, governed access to trusted data and capabilities.
- Some API products are intended for internal use only and some for authenticated users. To access the full experience, we recommend signing up: membership unlocks additional products.
- By consuming Michelin data and APIs, developers can build new services that improve customer value, operational efficiency, and innovation.
- Our Portal is part of the Michelin API-first and data-driven strategy. Our goal is to design our products with well-governed data and standardized interfaces.

Discover our products
Our API catalog presents all available products. Each product page outlines its value, usage, and technical details, helping you determine suitability and begin integration. On the product page, you will find:
- Overview: What the API does, who it is for, and key benefits
- Specification: OpenAPI/AsyncAPI and payload examples
- Documentation: Authentication, guidelines and release notes
- Plan of Usage: Subscription options, approval flow, and environments (mock or prod)
With these elements, you can discover the right product, subscribe, obtain credentials, and be guided trough your first call.
Our standard plans
Subscribing to an API product is made simple with the options provided through our five standard plans. Each plan offers distinct features tailored to meet various needs, allowing you to select the one that best aligns with your usage requirements.
Free time‑boxed access (e.g., 15 days) to evaluate the API. It is usually connected to mocked or non‑production data so you can test integration before committing.
Unlike a trial, which is time-limited, a limited free plan usually restricts usage either by rate (frequency of calls) or by quota (number of calls)
Unlimited calls at no charge, subject to publisher‑defined fair‑usage policies to protect service quality.
Premium access to prod data with enhanced features and support. The price and Terms & Conditions are defined by the API producer or Business team.
Consumers submit a request with business justification. No credentials are auto‑issued; API producers must provision and share access details.
Approval workflow and data availability
When subscribing to an API product, it is essential to understand the approval workflow and data availability.
The approval process consists of two main paths:
- Automated approval: Credentials (e.g., API key) are available immediately.
- Approval required: API producers manually review and approve requests in the APIM platform.
Please note that credentials issued by the Portal enable connectivity to the API endpoint. For some API products, additional credentials may be required to access specific services or data domains; these will be provided directly by the API producers.
You can check your subscription status from your profile section (pending, enabled).
Data availability is categorized into three types:
- Mocked data: Simulated responses for safe testing.
- Production data
