TyreSnap Full Tyre API
TyreSnap-FullTyre API offers AI-powered OCR (Optical Character Recognition) service to detect the complete tyre size automatically. Once the picture of a tyre is captured through an electronic device such as a smartphone - the API can scan the entire tyre sidewall & rim design. From this information, the API provides tyre size, load & speed index, tyre brand & line, and car brand & model.
It currently supports passenger cars only. However, enhancements to include trucks and two-wheelers are coming soon.
It can be integrated with various applications where tyre size and other key parameters are required as an input. This AI-powered back-end solution avoids manual entry of tyre size.
The potential use case for this API is e-retail websites that are selling the tyres online. It will provide a seamless experience on e-retail websites with a new AI-powered solution recognizing tyre sizes from tyre images uploaded by consumers.
Key features
Tyre Types
Supports only Passenger Tyres (both mounted & unmounted). Two wheeler, Truck and other tyre types are not yet supported.
Markings Supported
Detects tyre size, load index, speed index, tyre brand, tyreline. It also detects car brand & model from rim design for mounted passenger car tyres.
Works with different fonts/sizes
Tyre size is mentioned at two places on tyre with different font and this API is able to extract both. Also works with different TyreBrand and Tyreline fonts/text layout.
Construction types supported
Only R & ZR construction types supported.
